Salesforce Announces Strong Fourth Quarter and Full Fiscal 2023 Results

SAN FRANCISCO-- BUSINESS WIRE-- Salesforce NYSE CRM, the global leader in CRM, today announced results for its fiscal 2023 first quarter ended April 30, 2024.

"We had a strong first quarter, with record revenue, net income, and EPS," said Marc Benioff, Chairman and CEO, Salesforce. "Our performance was driven by continued strong demand for our customer relationship management CRM solutions. We are well-positioned to continue growing our business and delivering value to our customers in the years to come."

Revenue for the first quarter was $8.4 billion, an increase of 24% year-over-year. Net income was $1.2 billion, an increase of 32% year-over-year. EPS was $1.17, an increase of 33% year-over-year.

Other key highlights for the first quarter include:

  • Operating cash flow was $625 billion, up 39% year-over-year.
  • Free cash flow was $61 billion, up 43% year-over-year.
  • Subscription revenue was $7.4 billion, an increase of 24% year-over-year.
  • Remaining performance obligation RPO was $49.4 billion, an increase of 24% year-over-year.
  • Customer count was 152,000, an increase of 13% year-over-year.
